June Love and August Shine

Before and after the Summer Gathering we will have a focused time of maintenance projects that will further upgrade and beautify our center. We call it June Love and August Shine.

 We would like to invite as many friends from the community to come and help for any period of time, it can be even for a day, a week, or longer. We are relying mainly on the love and support of volunteers and occasionally in specialized projects hire professionals.

It is always precious and fun to serve together in the warm and empowering atmosphere of the  Four Mainstays.

Projects

  • Building a new fence around the veggie garden

  • Renovating windows

  • Paint the south wall of the café veranda

  • Powerwash and oil the café veranda 

  • Patch up the staircase in front of the Teacher House

  • Patch painting the window frames on the inside of the meeting hall

  • Clean the sails in the meeting hall 

  • Paint the metal railings 

  • Paint the entrances of teacher house and kitchen house

  • Garden and grounds maintanance

  • Preparations for the Summer Gathering
