Sustainability at the Center
We are exploring our energy system for how to save the most energy this upcoming winter. It has been our wish for a long time to make a shift into using more sustainable resources and we are in touch with solar companies for installing panels on the Kitchen House roof as well as looking into grants to support the investment required. We will share more details soon.
Autumn in Green Tara
The first frost arrived in mid-September. We are enjoying the last zucchinis, corn, tomatoes and plenty of kale and greens for our community lunches and Green Tara is being prepared for winter sleep. It is always magical to follow the seasons in the garden and see how each time has its own sense of beauty and wonder. Join us for a cozy Garden Weekend from October 22 - 23. We will do some work outside in the gardens and grounds. The leaves will have fallen to the ground by then and together we will rake them up and make the center grounds look beautiful in preparation for the Autumn Gathering and winter time. We are looking forward to an easeful and relaxed weekend and a nice time together.
